Friday Cello Video: The Harlem Quartet on Stradivarius(es, ‘s, i?)*

This Friday’s spot goes to the awesomely talented Harlem Quartet. Apparently they had a show this week at University of Washington which I found out about four hours before the performance. Try as I might, I could not move heaven and earth to get there. I’m bummed, but I discovered this delectable treat on YouTube.

Here’s the Harlem Quartet (accompanied by the principal cellist of the NY Phil) rocking the all Strad performance of Schubert’s Cello Quintet in C Major in the Library of Congress in 2008.

*Ten points to the peep with who can identify the grammatically correct plural for the Stradavarius instrument without GOOGLING it.
